With its moody seascapes and history of seafaring, Dun Laoghaire offers plenty of inspiration for writers and performers.

On Saturday 14 October, poet Katie Donovan and storyteller Jean Ryan will lead a day of exploration, in a guided walk along the seafront, and afterwards, in lively workshops at Walter’s pub.

  • Meeting at 10 am at DLR Lexicon, the morning will consist of walking, story-telling and poem-sharing with Jean and Katie.
  • The afternoon will consist of two workshops, one with Katie and one with Jean, for storytellers and writers to share work and feedback. You will be assigned to one of the afternoon workshops. These will take place in Walter’s.
  • The day will end at 5pm.

Numbers are limited to 20 participants. Booking is essential. Bring a pen and paper, a waterproof coat, and wear your walking shoes.

This is a free event sponsored by a Creative Ireland Bursary from the dlr Arts Office.
