Poets Phil Lynch and Lulu Sinnott are hosting the live Open Mic on Wednesday 9 OCTOBER, 7pm, upstairs at Walters, Dun Laoghaire. its a great evening for poets, bloggers, short-prose writers, singers, all kinds of performers to come along and participate or attend as audience. Both poets will read from their own work, followed by an Open Mic.
How does the Open Mic work?
Readers will have a maximum of 5 minutes each which could be a few short poems or your own songs, spoken word or one longer piece or flash fiction, about 800 words of prose. Please rehearse and check your timing before arriving. Bear in mind that less can sometimes be more!

On the night we’ll order the open mic readings on a first come first served basis — just tell the organisers when you arrive if you wish to read. Sign-up available from 15 minutes before the start time. For all acts it is important to respect the diversity and sensitivities of the audience. Listeners are just as welcome as performers! Moderation is by the event organisers.
