About the artist————
Melissa O’Donnell is a contemporary interdisciplinary artist whose work examines the societal impact of powerful systems and institutional marginalisation through her practice research methodologies and artworks .
Over the past decade, her artworks have been exhibited and collected nationally and internationally, held in both private and public collections. Her multidisciplinary practice spans painting, drawing, moving image, and installation. She holds a 1st class Hons Masters Contemporary Painting Practices, NCAD 2025 and a recent Professional Accreditation in Creative Group Learning Facilitation, Create/NCAD 2026.
Melissa is an experienced Fine Art tutor and workshop designer/facilitator, including invited artist at the National Gallery of Ireland , Artform Co.Waterford, BigLook Art Platforms.Recent exhibitions include Rua Red Arts Centre (NCAD MFA, 2025), a solo exhibition at RHA Ashford (2022), representation and exhibiting artist with Solomon Fine Art Gallery (2022–2025) , CAGA RDS (2025) and at Sotheby’s Irish Art Auctions & Exhibitions, Artist talks in RHA Dublin, Sotheby’s London, and Sotheby’s Paris (2022–2025).
