Creative Writing with Katie Donovan

from MON 19 Jan

, 7 - 9

The start of a new year is a great time to make a commitment to your writing practice, and joining a group with an experienced facilitator means you have no excuse but to dive in. Whether it’s poems, short stories or memoir, this is your opportunity to really focus on your current writing project, or make a start on that long-postponed idea. Writing prompts and discussions around what might be blocking your muse will be interspersed with workshopping work in progress.

Meeting together online creates an accessible group dynamic – vital for those whose commitments make it hard for them to leave the house.

Katie Donovan has taught Creative Writing at NUI Maynooth, iadt Dun Laoghaire and the Irish Writers’ Centre, as well as facilitating several workshops for ArtNet DLR in recent years. An award-winning poet, and former “Irish Times” journalist, Katie is the author of six books of poetry, all published by Bloodaxe Books UK.

All are welcome to this series of workshops running over five weeks on a Monday evening, 7 – 9pm.
