In this one day advanced painting workshop, we will explore the rich range of colour harmonies that can be achieved through the use of a limited palette.
By restricting our selection of colours, participants will gain a deeper understanding of tone, balance, and subtle variation within their work.
Students are invited to bring a black and white photograph of a subject of their choice, this could be anything from a landscape to a portrait. Working from these images, we will focus
on how to translate tonal information into a cohesive and expressive painting using only a few carefully chosen colours.
Throughout the day, we will examine techniques and approaches that support strong composition, colour harmony, and clarity of form, ultimately guiding each participant
toward creating a successful and resolved painting.
