ArtNetdlr continues Artist Talk series with a visual artist, curator & arts educator, Claire Halpin.

Claire Halpin is a visual artist,curator & arts educator, born and based in Dublin, probably best known to ArtNetdlr members for curating ArtNetdlr Collaborative Exhibition Crosscurrents at dlr LexIcon in 2024.

Halpin’s own practice explores themes and concepts around contested territories and histories through painting, video and installation. She creates work that raises questions about how we choose to record history and the veracity of painting, photography, and the media in documenting future history.

Halpin has exhibited widely in group exhibitions in Ireland and internationally including The Narrow Gate of the Here and Now, IMMA, 38th EVA International, Limerick City Gallery; 189th RHA Annual, Dublin; Painting Then and Now, Highlanes Gallery, and Artisterium VI, Tbilisi, Georgia and Red Sheep Gallery, Sweden, Elysium Gallery, Wales. Recent solos exhibitions at Cabaret Voltaire Rome, Olivier Cornet Gallery, Dublin and The LAB Gallery, Dublin. Her work is represented in the collections of IMMA, TCD Art Collection, OPW State Art collection, UCC/ Glucksman Collection
among others.
